Vigilant Mobile Companion: License Plate Recognition App
Vigilant Mobile Companion is an Android app developed by Vigilant Solutions for license plate recognition (LPR) analytics. This app is exclusively for Vigilant Solutions' customers and is designed to extend the benefits of Vigilant's LEARN® and Client Portal products to more users. The app encompasses a collection of features used to strengthen investigative capabilities for traffic patrol, mounted and foot patrol, etc.
The app has two ways to scan license plates. You can scan a single license plate using your device's camera or upload a photo from your gallery, which will be uploaded to the agency's LEARN or Client Portal account and matched against whitelists and hotlists. You can also scan multiple license plates using your device's video camera and have them uploaded in real-time to the agency's LEARN or Client Portal account and matched against whitelists and hotlists.
Vigilant Mobile Companion also has the ability to connect to LEARN Mobile or Client Portal Mobile with one click from within the app to utilize the investigative tools customers enjoy from the LEARN and Client Portal Platforms. This app is available only to permitted users with a current subscription to a Vigilant Vehicle Manager or Client Portal hosted service.
